Jayapura, 27/2 (Jubi) – Papua Governor Lukas Enembe urged all sections of society to welcome the legislative and presidential elections this year without conflicts.
“We do not want to deploy security forces anymore. I hope this coming election, there will be any more victims and conflicts,” Enembe said, in Jayapura, Papua on Thursday (27/2).
He said that the police and the military will do their best to maintain security by deploying personnel across Papua.
He urged all funds allocated for the elections had to be managed prudently.
“I urged all stakeholders including regents and mayor in Papua to cooperate to maintain security and stability” he concluded. ( Jubi/ Alex/ Tina)
